Summer Activities for Children and Young People

At a loose end this summer? There is lots to do for all ages from 0-19 years old.

Try the HSEC Summer Programme: HESC Summer Activities 

In Birchfield HESC have 2 programmes running:

  • Holy Trinity C of E School – Schools Out Summer Programme , 4 – 11 years, 10.00 – 4.00 p.m. 26th July – 12th August. For further details ring Dorothy Dixon on (0121) 464 9900 or 07788 831 874.

Birchfield Boosts Fitness

Getting fit and active is the lesson of the day for pupils from primary schools in Birchfield.

Children from Westminster, Holy Trinity, St Clare’s and St. Mary’s primary schools can take part in a variety of weekly sports activity sessions. The programme runs every Tuesday starting on 27th April from 4pm – 6pm at Broadway School and costs £1 per session for young people 5 to 13 years.

The launch held event on Saturday 24th April at Broadway School offered free taster sessions.

 

Everyone having fun and chilling out in the sun

The aim of scheme is to provide young people with the opportunity to experience different activities such as hip hop dancing, boxing, rounders in addition to the main stream sports like football and cricket.

The project runs until 31st March and is funded via Be Birmingham’s Successful Neighbourhoods fund.
