Murder of Avtar and Carole Kolar- Appeal for information

Following the senseless and violent murder of Mr and Mrs Kolar on Wednesday 11th January, West Midlands Police have released the following appeal for information:

We would appreciate if you could share this message with family, friends and your local community.

Independent charity Crimestoppers have offered a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with the murders of Carole and Avtar Kolar. (more…)

Birchfield Residents’ Police Priority

At the Birchfield Police Community meeting held on Wednesday 25th May at St Clare’s School, Robert Road residents raised concerns about an increase in quad bikes that are being used in an anti-social manner. The Lozells and East Handsworth Neighbourhood Police team will be collating information in relation to the riders of the quads and will be sending letters to the owners. All quad bikes which are being used illegally will be dealt with so please help the Police by letting them know where these bikes are being kept. Putney Road Community Street Action Day

On Wednesday 16th March pupil’s from St Clare’s Catholic Primary School helped with the Putney Road and Putney Avenue Street Action day.

Pupils helped to weed the planters in Putney Avenue with assistance from Deborah Parsons, Environmental Warden. West Midlands Police, West Midlands Fire Service, Midland Heart and Birmingham City Council were door knocking and speaking with residents about community safety and environmental issues. Handsworth Central Neighbourhood Forum in partnership with Lozells and East Handsworth Police Team are holding a public meeting on Wednesday 15th September 2010 at Mayfield School, Heathfield Road starting at 6.30 p.m.

If you are concerned about issues in your Neighbourhood such as crime, anti-social behaviour, environment, housing and employment then come along to have your say and be heard. This is an opportunity to meet your Neighbourhood Police Team. Guest speakers include Khalid Mahmood M.P., West Midlands Police and Birmingham City Council.

Residents of Lyndon Close are invited to get involved in the Lyndon Close Action day on Tuesday 7th September from 4.30 p.m. – 6.30 p.m. Activities for the day:
