Following the senseless and violent murder of Mr and Mrs Kolar on Wednesday 11th January, West Midlands Police have released the following appeal for information:
We would appreciate if you could share this message with family, friends and your local community.
Independent charity Crimestoppers have offered a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with the murders of Carole and Avtar Kolar. (more…)

On Wednesday 16th March pupil’s from St Clare’s Catholic Primary School helped with the Putney Road and Putney Avenue Street Action day.

Pupils helped to weed the planters in Putney Avenue with assistance from Deborah Parsons, Environmental Warden. West Midlands Police, West Midlands Fire Service, Midland Heart and Birmingham City Council were door knocking and speaking with residents about community safety and environmental issues. West Midlands Police hold regular meetings with key local partners to give residents the chance to come along and raise issues of local concern. Handsworth Central Neighbourhood Forum in partnership with Lozells and East Handsworth Police Team are holding a public meeting on Wednesday 15th September 2010 at Mayfield School, Heathfield Road starting at 6.30 p.m.
If you are concerned about issues in your Neighbourhood such as crime, anti-social behaviour, environment, housing and employment then come along to have your say and be heard. This is an opportunity to meet your Neighbourhood Police Team. Guest speakers include Khalid Mahmood M.P., West Midlands Police and Birmingham City Council.

- A chance to get involved in a COMMUNITY LITTER PICK - meet putside BIN Area at Westminster Court at 5pm
