This free exhbition has been recommended to us as definitely worth a visit!
‘Jamaica 50’ celebrates fifty years of Jamaican Independence through the country’s history, its national heroes and symbols.
It tells the story of Jamaican Independence Day and the journeys which Jamaican people made to settle in Birmingham in the 1950s and 60s through their own words, pictures, personal artefacts and memories’
The project has been developed by Kingsway Project in partnership with Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, The Drum and RAFFA.
