Anne Dasgupta at Birmingham Friends of the Earth have been in touch to tell us about a meeting they’re holding on Saturday, January 30th 2010, 10.30 am at The Journey’s Metropolitan Community Church, Shaws Passage, Digbeth, B5 5TH,  opposite the Warehouse.

FOE is campaigning to get as many towns and cities as possible to have a 20 mph hour speed limit as the default, rather than the current 30 mph in our cities.

The organisers say the meeting will:

aim is to encourage smaller groups led by Community Champions to take up the campaign.  Their
role will be to promote the campaign in their local area, approaching the residents through community
groups, schools, shops, etc…
